I'm Matthias, and I'm all about creating great hair in a relaxed, one on one space. Let me tell you a little about me. The person behind the scissors and colour bowls. Wether you've stumbled on this page by curiosity or you're hunting down a new hair hero, you're in the right place!!!
My Story
Hi, I’m Matthias and I’ve been living and breathing hair since I was 15. What started as a teenage apprenticeship in Germany quickly became a lifelong love affair with hairdressing. I spent over a decade honing my craft in the same salon where I trained, learning the art of creating beautiful, tailored hair that makes people feel amazing.
After many years behind the chair in Germany, my partner Michael and I decided it was time for something new an adventure. We packed up our life and moved to Australia, chasing sunshine and opportunity. That journey led us to Hervey Bay, where I was lucky enough to be sponsored and continued doing what I love for almost 10 years.
When COVID hit, life shifted again. We relocated to the Gold Coast a place that felt instantly like home. I worked in a Bundall salon for two years, and during that time, the idea of opening my own space started to grow. A space that felt calm, personal, welcoming… and most importantly, truly mine.
Now, I run my own boutique salon where every appointment is one-on-one, relaxed, and tailored to you. Opening my own salon has been the best thing I’ve ever done and I pour all of my experience, passion, and good energy into every client who sits in my chair.

Fun Facts
# I’m always planning my next adventure, travelling is my favourite way to recharge and get inspired.
# I’m a big foodie and love eating out (especially if there’s a good cocktail and a water view involved).
# Sunset sessions are a sacred ritual in our house, preferably with a wine in hand and Michael by my side.
# Speaking of Michael, we’ve been partners-in-crime for over 20 years and still going strong!
# We share our home with a very opinionated 16-year-old cat named Mr Loui, he runs the place.
# I play the space drum (yes, it’s as cool and meditative as it sounds).
# I absolutely cannot sing… but that doesn’t stop me from trying — sorry, Michael!
